I had that after last years Christmas and it was horrible. I had a terrible doctor who actually told me to stop eating animal meat and dairy and eggs and only drink sugary things until it went away. So, dumb me, I did, and my ibs got WORSE. What actually stopped it, was eating yogurt with lacto-acidophilusbifidus [or however you spell it] AND taking a probiotic vitamins thereafter and eating more carbs with fiber, not just psyllium supplements. I ended up with a balanced 'zone' type of diet that suited me fine. I still feel best when I eat in a more balanced way. The 'mostly protein' diet was not working for Me, altho everyone is different.
