I Want it All, But Have Alot Of Questions, Help Me Wrokout!

Okay, ive been lifting steadily for about a year, about 2 years total. Im 18, 6'1, 210lb. Right now i take Tri-Pro Creatine, and drink protien shakes. I just developed a new workout program for me using a pretty helpful lifting book. What im looking for is to loose the fat around my stomache (left over baby fat), and basically get ripped.
So far, i have been building muscle, chest is bigger and can bench more. Im having a hard time
1. Losing the fat around my belly
2. Toning my arms
I would love to hear any sugguestions. I started riding the bike for 30min, but im not sure if thats as good as running? I do crunches for my abs, but thats about it!
Also, my cousin read in Lifting for Dummies that protien shakes are worthless b/c our bodies already get 100% of our daily protien just from eating. I said bodybuilders aren't "normal" and they oculd use more. Is this right?
I really can't attribute my gains in stregnth to creatine or protien because i have no way of knowing what id be like without the stuff. The Creatin i use has a no-carb formula, b/c from what i hear crabos are basically what makes you fat. I just dont get it, what should i watch more? Calories, calories from fat, fat grams, or carbos??? It so freakin confusing sometimes!
Thanks for any input.

you should take in as much protein as possible. im hardly an expert, but i do know that if you want to lose fat, you need proper diet and exercise. thats the only thing thats gonna cut that shit off. however, i know very little about the specifics of it, i.e. how many carbs, fats, etc.

See thats the thing, how much protien can my body actually benefit from? I usually take a scoop at night b/c there is no food intake for 8hrs there.

as much as humanly possible.

You probably cannot eat too much protein, but the workout for dummies was correct that the protein powders are basically a waste of money. Eat tuna, chicken, eggs, lean beef, that sort of thing.

Losing the fat around your stomach will be easiest by reducing carbs while keeping protein and fiber high. Diet board would be the best place to ask, but that is the basics.

"Toning your arms" sounds a lot like something a middle aged woman would say. If you mean how to get your arms big and hard, then that can be done a number of ways. If you don't care about getting stronger, then do a bodybuilder workout, to maximize hypertrophy. If you care more about getting stronger and less about appearance, then workout like a powerlifter, or a strongman competitor.

I am not entirely sure from your post what you are looking to do. Rest assured that it is a long process, and the quicker you shit can the creatine and protein powders the better off you will be. Save your money. Nothing they sell at the GNC is going to be worth the money except for maybe their multivitamins. I wasted a ton of money there before I figured that out. I wish someone had told this to me when I was 18.

Tons of good workout regimens on this board, and tons of great ideas and regimens on the powerlifting board, too, if that is what you are into.

Cut carbs, get as much protein as you can, don't sweat the fats and calories too much, and stay away from processed foods. If you do this, you should get leaner.

Huh, not what i expected to hear i guess. I thought everyone here worshiped protien shakes, guess not. Hey btw, whats better for losing weight, running or doing the bike?

shakes are great, but only if you can't get the amount of protein you need from regular foods. there is no substitute for a can of tuna or some chicken or a good meal.
