i took a day off from my diet

they sure sounded good last night.. i went to krispy kreme and order 2 dozen.. after i ate 6 i was like .. "what the heck am i doing to myself?" LOL i felt like crap... so its hardcore dieting for another 2-3 weeks then i might eat some more doughnuts :)
 
This is sooo funny, I had the biggest sugar craving after being on the CKD diet for the past week! So I indulged in ice cream, cookies and chocolate, then I too felt like "what the hell am I doing"? So I went for an hour and a half rollerblade to help justify and get rid those extra calories! Hopefully I can get back on track with ketosis within the next day!! Does anybody else find it extremely hard to stay on this diet?? I am finding that my body goes into some wicked craving mode and once I indulge, it wants more and more. I have noticed my body is tightening up, but the scale does not seem to reflect this. How long should you stay on this diet? And another thing, every time I carb up, I gain like 5 pounds, is this normal? How do you avoid this?
 
wednesday tommorrow, my middle of th eweek cheat meal (saturday is cheat day though i keep it healthy for at least 3 of the 6 meals I eat)

Hmmm i think some ice cream or cheesecake is in order tommorrow ! :)

there are a number of reasons for this... i dont have time since im leaving to work, but personally the diet doesn't work for me. I lose water, some fat, but i completely lose all muscle. i NEED some carbs for muscle preservation while dieting.

some other things that I'm not to fond of, is the fact that your memory suffers while in ketosis. you retain less information since your brain isnt working in its normal conditions. since im a student, i cannot have this. also, once you are in ketosis long enough you body will not act the same once you are out of ketosis. once you decide to come off the diet (and bulk) your body will behave differently in many respects. one being in how it stores fat. so A) you will have to use this diet sparingly (beach or contest) or B) stay on it for life.

i dont have anecdotal evidence to back up these last two... but there have been studies (and books) done/written on the subject.
