I don't spend $ 10K a month, but it is more than peanuts. We have a written
contract, that spells out what is expected of each other. He has, so far,
more than fulfilled his end of the bargain and I also have kept up mine.
It's a very mutually satisfying experience. I enjoy being around a
competitive BBer and seeing his development, and also getting to know him as
a person.
Our contract runs out after the Nationals in November when he competes in
Atlanta. He knows that I am not going to sponser him next year. Yet he and I
have become good enough friends that he has asked me to be a member of his
wedding party when he gets married sometime next year. I appreciate his
friendship and I know it has become more than just about the money.
