Studio Gangsta
This was in the letter section of the Sept/Oct issue of Muscle & Fitness Hers. A man had sent in this poem he wrote and dedicated it to his wife and all female fitness enthusiasts. I had to share it with you ladies.
Dreams
Silently she stands in a world all her own
As she looks down at the weight she is about to throw.
She does not consider the risk or the pain
Bu to get the weight up is her claim to fame.
As she wraps her hands around this bar made of steel,
She closes her eyes and begins to feel
The dream of a stage with cameras and lights
And a crowd up roaring with applause and delight
For she owns this stage, her dream tonight.
But back to reality in this cold, dark gym
For she throws up the weight wearing a beautiful grin.
For she knows in her mind, body and soul,
That this dream will become reality
And that stage will be her throne.
