His book, "Body For Life" has been on the NY Times advice best seller list for 126 weeks. You all can call him a sell out but you have to admit, he is a genius. What does every body think about this?

He's a small ass nancy boy but he didn't sell out. That would imply, in my eyes, that he did something he did not want to do for a large sum of money. I doubt he had any moral qualms about his book. He has helped people from what Iunderstand though.

Let me say it loud and clear" F**k Bill Philips. I was an big time fan of he's prior to MM2000 Issue 35. I have all of them, even he's steriod reference guide......Stay true to the game, he has to deal with himslef in the final chapter......He cant walk into a Gym without getting dissed!......I would love to accidently drop a 45 on he's head......Ooops Sorry Bill!

Fuck it, I'm not gonna hate on Bill Phillips. He made a fortune, and did well for himself. We could all hate Arnold under these guidlines as well. Wouldn't he tech. be a sell out? Come on guys, I bet any one of you would have done the same. A worry free lifestyle, and having your family set for life, or be respected amoung a small group of bodybuilders?

I think many of you are assigning the term "sell out" too haphazardly. Why would Bill Phillips, and Arnold as mentioned above, be a sell out for taking money to do what they love? That's ridiculous. You would have to be a complete moron to say, "Oh no thanks, I don't want large sums of [mother fucking] money for teaching about fitness. I'll just keep my head in my ass thank you very much."

Loved Bill in the old days. Great gear sources, good info. I wish it was all the same.

However, you gotta admit he's done more in the last 10 years to advance the hobby (not sport) of bodybuilding than Joe Wieder. This is good for many of the average people out there who would still be following weight watchers and Richard Simmons.

Of course, the ELITE will remain elite.

As a businessman, Bill is savvy. Who wants to slug it out in the cult world of advanced bodybuilding? The everyman/woman is the one with the money. If you're gonna make money, you gotta tap that market.

When people ask me how to get in shape I tell them to get Bill's book. (Assuming they are couch potato types who will never hire a trainer.) They read it and totally get it. Some of them have stuck with it. I had lunch with a friend the other day and she said, "can we eat this? is it on the program?" It was cool to see her interested.

As a bodybuilder, when I talk to average people who've been in Bill's contest or who've read the book, I feel like less of a freak and more open about talking about my hobby. It's a good feeling -- since normally I can only talk to all you other freaks about this stuff.

And he didn't have to get into porn or sell his soul to do it. In 10 years, Bill made a staggering sum of money in the same industry that he started in. Who wouldn't want that?

He did something lots of us think of doing but rarely do. Take an idea, run with it, and make a lot of money. He is a good businessman. However, I ain't buying his book. There are some Body for Lifers at my gym. Mostly women and pussies. Lots of them lose weight but don't have enough muscle tone. It looks O.K. on some of the women but the BFL guys are now small guys with a lot of extra skin and no muscle instead of fat guys with no muscle.

Well said! In the real world, success is determined by how much money you make. Think about it, if you were a good basketball player like Michael Jordan, would you want to play in the NBA for free?

To all the Bill Phillip Lovers - Please dont, hold, Please Please dont compare Arnold to Bill Phillips in any enviorment. Arnold used BB'g as a vehicle but remains true to the game. Would you meatheads compete at the "Bill Phillips Classic" if you were asked?......If you are a fan of Arnold's as i am then you will understand you can acheive great fortunes w/o pimping yourself. Bill is primarily into health and fitness, and despite everything, what we do cannot be regarded as healthy.

So what if he's turned away from the game, does juicing pay the mortgage? Does writing a best selling book which appeals to millions?
