I remember reading a story a few years ago about Tom Platz. Apparently when he started training as a teenager, he had pathetic legs. At the time, he was training at a local gym that was filled with powerlifters somewhere in Columbus, Ohio. These powerlifters notice the dramatic changes with Platz, but they didn't notice any changes in his legs. The powerlifters in the gym forced Tom to perform at least 10 sets of squats or he was not allowed to leave. From that point on, he transformed a terrible muscle group into the best lower body anyone has ever seen. It goes to show you what determination can do for you. Next time you train legs. . . . think about Tom Platz!!
