How to take caffeine pre workout?

I was wondering, I always hear that taking carbs weakens the effect of caffeine, so when I take my caffeine abut 45mins pre workout, does this mean I cant have my slow carbs pre workout?
 
I just drink coffee before I workout with protein and fruit and bread and I always feel the caffeine.

Not to get off the subject, but the best four dollars you will ever spend is on Jet-Alert caffiene pills. I think these work great, you get 90 pills, and you can get them at the grocery store. Fuck starbucks and the hydroxycut "hardcore". If two of these work on me, I know they will work on anybody. I still cycle the original ephedra products I have stockpiled and use clenbuterol from time to time. I am addicted to caffiene and can testify that these are good, despite my use of stimulants.:chomp:
 
i was wondering if a person didnt wanna hassel with caffine.. would taking like B12 and ginseng work well? or other natural supps? anyone have any experience with them?
 
SO basically if I took my caffeine, like 20mins later some carbs then half an hour later hit the gym then I would be fine and the caffeine would still work? And does it matter about the brand like scotty said or could I get any? Im gettin tired of forcin down 4 cups of instand black coffee that tastes like ass so Im thinkin of gettin some in tablet form...
 
I like to take 200mg-400mg of caffeine pills (1-2) and 20 drops of sublingual B-12 about 30min before my workout and I'm good to go. I don't notice any decreased effect from carbs either.
 
Here is a good non-caffeine boost from my self experimentation: 1gram of l-carnitine, 1200mg fish oil (some other type of fatty acid supplement would work), and 100 mg of dhea, plus whatever b-12 supp you're taking. Take this one hour before training or first thing in the morning with a glass of water. Korean ginseng is stronger if I remember correctly, but I've never taken it straight up. Hell yeah, caffeine pills are way easier to take in the morning, and they don't stain your teeth!
