How to gain 75 -100 lbs of lean mass in a year - a users guide.

I didn't attack you, only your hypothetical question that you seemed to be sure would work. Opening up a situation for debate is fine but you shouldn't go in so adamantely sure of it's success and then say in the end you didn't really think it was possible. You set parameters that could not possibly work to achieve the goal and seemed genuinely convinced that they'd work. I was only trying to break it to you and your supporters that it was an exercise in futility.

If you said 3 years from the start then we'd have had a much better debate as that could be a reality if done correctly. I have no doubt that someone who is genetically capable of that kind of gains could achieve them in 3 years, though again I think they'd have to go about it a different way than what you posted. Calories must be increased greatly and you must consider that not every hopeful trainee on this planet is capable of ever putting on 100 pounds of muscle to their frame no matter what drugs they use.

Again I wasn't attacking you personally, though perhaps it seemed so because as you said I took the question to heart. I was merely trying to get across, perhaps a bit harshly, that the goals were impossible to meet in the given timeline with the given parameters. Take that goal across 3 years and the answer is yes provided you bust your ass and eat like a horse.

BTW I'm quite familiar with DC's methods and have read through the entire 85+ "cycles for pennies" post multiple times. I think he is genuinely right in his methods and am currently following his training methods as we speak but remember his calorie recommendations far exceed what you propsed. I still do not believe anyone but an absolute genetic mutant could gain what you propose in 1 year even following DC's methods. However if someone wanted to do it in 3 years as you mentioned then I believe this would be the way to do it.

And when I said that even I couldn't gain weight eating what you propsed, I attempted this for a couple weeks using his eating methods. I was getting at least 3500 calories a day for 2 weeks straight, and on some days I was getting more. I was also taking the anarchy stack at the same time and after 2 weeks I weighed no more than when I started. For me to gain weight on this program at the speed he wants I'd definately have to crank up the calories even more. The funny thing is I had always considered my BMR to be around 3000, yet I was eating 500+ more calories per day than this and not gaining. And I had been dieting prior to this for at least 8 weeks so my metabolism should have been worse than normal.

Goes to show what proper nutrient ratios and timing can accomplish, not to mention proper supplementation.

I've gained 80 lbs , but it took me 13 yrs to do that....... Don't think your body could sustain that weight increase in short period of time.

That is not even close enough to gain what you want. Hell I dont think you would gain 20 lbs in a year eating that. My girlfriend eats more than that. 22 cal x bodyweight 2 to 2.5 grams of protein per bw... That is going to blow you up,,, but I think there is no way anyone could gain that much in a year..

75 lbs is very much possible if you have a large, skinny frame (like I did). If you perfect your training & eating, you should be able to put on 100 lbs of lean mass. I plan on gaining the 100 lbs mark by the end of august (my 22nd birthday).

You obviously have a lot to learn, but here is a little advice for you: you need a little over 1000 extra cals per day. I make a pre and post work out drink at 1000 cals each (N-Large2 "gainer", litre milk, couple bananas). If you take this directly before and after your workout it won't come on as fat. Rest of the time you gotta stick to complex carbs. Also, take every set to failure and train 5 days a week. These are probably the two most crutial parts of my routine. You have a lot reading to do, but don't be discouraged by somebody's aribitrary limitations on what YOU can accomplish in a year.

If you are already at or near your genetic potential I doubt you can put on 100lbs of anything other than fat in one year.
