its a shame...the fda and government putting all this time and effort into trying to make ephedra illegal because it may have killed a few people....yet cigarettes which kill more peole than anything else in this world are not in talks for bills making them illegal....money money money
ephedra's killed a few alcohol and cigs kill thousands. Car collisions kill thousands too. Before you know it were all goin to be living in fucking bubbles. Im not saying the government should ban cigs(though i hate them) but come on theres gotta be a limit to this bullshit. We as an American whole need to take a stand! Remember it's OUR country to be run by the people.

If you didn't notice ephedrine is the main ingredient in otc cold meds. There is no way on earth pharmacutical big wigs are gonna let the govt ban ephedrine. They would loose millions of dollars. If the govt bans it for health industry the pharmacutical industry would have to follow suit. It will never happen.

I was recently in Bali. You could buy ephedrine OTC there. I had a slight cold and was congested. I can tell you that pseudo-ephedrine is garbage compared to ephedrine. With in 15 minutes after taking a ephedrine my sinuses where opening. It saved my vacation. I was actually able to get in some scuba diving.

Go pick up some Broncaid or Primatene it is ephedrine hcl. And if the govt were to ban ephedrine they would have to ban al l the alkoloids also. The reason the supp companys are pulling ephedra is because the can't get insurance for it. The petty lawsuits are draining them and sending insurance premiums through the roof.

I don't think Broncaid or Primatene are cold meds. I think they are for asthmatic's. I was surprised to find out they contain ephedrine. Probably because asthma can be life threatening so the FDA couldn't get by with forcing them to use pseudo-ephedrine. It really is worthless compared to ephedrine.

Drug companies make no money on ephedrine. it's more effective than the expensive prescription drugs it competes with (meridia xenical with more on the way). FDA made up of former and future drug company employees. Do the math.

Skullfucked is correct. The insurance companies are the reason ephedra is being taken out of the fat burners. The rates are going out of sight so they have no choice but to remove it. There probably will always be a few (the smaller guys) who continue to make it but get what you can now, that may change tomorrow.
