I miss the days when I could press 385lbs for 3 reps with a spotter. But it just puts too much stress on my elbow tendons and rotator cuff. Anyone else have this problem? Curious.
The only barbell work I do anymore is incline, and about once every 2-3 months I do barbell bench, for the same reasons...it just causes too much pain. The freedom of range of motion is much better with dumbells.

For free weight chest now I only do inclines mostly with dumbells and occasionally barbells. But Ive gotten away from flat barbell. Still do flat dumbell or Hammer Strength machine bench. The pop in my rt shoulder and the pain iin the tendons keep me away from flat barbell bench. Suck cause I knew I cold get past the 405 mark
Lately I've been benching on the smith machine and been getting great results, especially close grip with elbows out. Hits the mid chest like no other.
