How many of you don't go by your legal name? It's a pain the arse huh?

I was named after my grandpa, but noone has ever called me that name. I'm called by an abbreviated form of my middle name. Such a pain in the ass. Every single class thru school and every other place I can't think of right now, you have to explain to people that you don't go by that name. When Signing my signature, I never sign it with my legal name. I've been asked to sign it again on occasion. Just a nuance, one of many.

I use it, but always hate my name. Guess less so now as I have become older. Wouldnt change it though its my dads name as well.

I never had a choice in the matter. I was named one name, but called by another.

i completely changed my name. only my middle name is the same as on my birth certificate: Jayde
i have no maiden last name. when asked what my maiden name is, i draw a blank. literally. i used a fake last name in school- it means nothing to me.
i've had trouble in the past, but by now, its fine- i've been this name so long that nobody needs to see a birth certificate anymore.
