How low do u consider to be a low carb diet?

Low is a subjective term. If you're someone who used to pound down 500-600 grams of carbs or more daily then yes 250g is definately low. I eat about 150g or so a day and I definately consider my diet "low carb".

In general I'd classify 250g of carbs as moderate if you were cutting. If you were bulking then 250g of carbs would be low. Again it's all subjective and who cares. If you can lose weight eating 250g of carbs a day then who the hell cares if some bozos on a diet board consider it low or not? Is there some low carb geek diet club you're trying to join that I'm not aware of?

So many people trust the advice of strangers when your own results should speak for themselves. Slowly increase your carb intake until you notice fat loss stopping and you'll know exactly how many carbs you can diet successfully with. This is 1000x better than taking someone else's advice who has never met you or following some metabolic equation.

Low is very hard to define, because it is such a subjective of a term. For me low carbs would be 100or under, for some people more, some people less. -Josh

for me low = 50-75 after fiber is subtracted and high = 150-200 g depending on the day. I am a 5'9" 195 pound woman, at 18% fat.

Low is relative. You need carbs to burn fat, but only so much, only the right kind, and only at the right times. This is a multi faceted question.

Bottom line: Is it working?
