how dramatic is 1000mgs of test a week

well to be honest it's not that huge of a difference from 500 mgs per week...May be just a small difference....
 
1000mg a week doesnt mean 2x the results from 500mg. But you might end up with 2x the sides...
 
I go up to 2 grams a week on test. Truthfully, if I eat smart and train smart I will get more results out of 500mg a week than if I eat stupid and train stupid on 2 grams.
 
I have ran test at both 1000mg/wk and at 500mg/wk... the strength/size gains were identical... but the high doses caused me to be shut down HARD for a long time... and I got a LOT more bloated.

I believe it's just as well to go with 500mg.
 
I personally would have bigger tits and more hair on my back and less money in my pocket. That's about it. I'll stick with 500mgs/wk

2 grams of sust is more like 1 gram of actual test.
 
I've done both 500mgs/week and 1000 mgs/ week and I can tell you the difference was definatley visually obvious and measurable.

Side effects can be controlled easily with ancillaries.

Actually 200mg of cypionate, 200mg of propionate, 200mg of enanthate, 200mg of suspensions, etc, all have different amounts of testosterone in them.

The differences in ester weight isn't that significant.

Test is test.

It may not be extremely significant, but if someone is taking a gram of

Propionate they are actually getting = 837.20mg of test
Enanthate they are actually getting = 719.90mg of test
Cypionate they are actually getting = 699mg of test

so between taking propionate and cypionate, an individual would be taking in 138.20 more mg's a week of test. That adds up :)

So here is a stupid ??? What would be the difference in gains for 250 vs. 500mg a week. I'm sure noticable for someone with many cycles but how bout for someone who never has? Just a hypothetical.
 
why not just do 750mg / week?

it is more then 500 and less then 1000 - see how you react to a higher dose.
 
i didn't read all the replies but i just got done with a 6 month cycle at 1 gram for the whole way. and I found out that it didn't do much more than my last one at 600 mg. plus I had thrown in some deca, dbol and winny along the way. my advice is to just use the minimum test needed. and each cycle bump it up 50 to 100 mg a week from the previous cycle. big doses are not needed. I know this information is out there but i still needed to see how my body reacted to it. I found my diet to be much more of an impact. save your money and use sensible doses. good luck

If your cholesterol levels become poor; if you develop gyno, accumulate fat, and become bloated; if you start losing more hair, you are taking too much. If you want to optimize your dosage, you got to pay attention to your genetics. Find a weekly total AAS dose where these symptoms do not occur and that is your optimal genetic dose. Now, you can add Aromasin to overcome the estrogenic sides and proscar to inhibit DHT (and keep your hair longer). You cannot maintain a decent lipid profile unless you either drop the dosage or really drop your carb intake.

Lastly, prolonged, heavy cycles will make recovery difficult, if not impossible. If you are not concerned about testicular size and function (testosterone and sperm), then this doesn't matter.
 
Overkill

Doing one or two grams of test a week is likely to increase annoying side effects and bloating without building much more muscle, if any, than 500 mg./week.

Pros do cycles like that since they're so desperate to win, but they also have their health more closely monitored than your average Joe.

Your body can only respond to so much test. Anything on top of that gets removed by the liver and kidneys and pissed away.

Golden Rule: Use the least amount of gear you can, while still getting good results, and you'll be happier, healthier, and you'll build more real, lasting muscle in the long run.
