supposedly the worst thing in the world for anyone trying to get in shape or build lean muscle. from what ive been reading, im scared shitless to even use a little squirt of ketchup on some food for flavor. if fucks with your metabolism, it causes you to shit out extra amounts of vitamins and minerals and is extremely catabolic. anyone have any opinions on it? i fear ill never be able to eat anything with flavor again.

It is really difficult to get accurate information on a topic like this. One side says it is completely safe, the other says it it sugary cyanide, and neither side can really provide 100% conclusive evidence. The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.

My acupuncturist told me to stop eating it, along with artificial sweeteners. Whether or not it is really necessary, I do not know.

must be genetics, i drink at least 1 can of soda a day, along with other junk food, i havent gained any fat. but im sure it does effect muscle building.

but im sure when i get older ill be fat if i keep this shit up

high fructose corn syrup is the devil...
It's a preservative. Unlike fructose is is very high gi. It converts to fat without easily and takes away from the copper in your diet.

The only people who say it's good are the people making money off of it

Well said. I avoid it like the plague. I'm not sure which is worse---trans fats or HFCS.

I avoid it because I can't afford it. Does anyone notice how much cheaper unprocessed foods are? Oats, eggs, nanners, cottage cheese, beans, etc. The only unprocessed foods that I eat that aren't cheap are cashews.

Where do you shop??? LOL
HFCS is a preservative. Foods without it spoil faster on the shelves , this is why most all bread in the US has it in there. So foods will be cheaper with it added , not removed.

Most drink contain HFCS as they are not 100% juice

LOL cashews are one of the more expensive items to buy in the supermarket. Compare cashews to honey roasted peanuts...
