Hi

Ryansmom44

New member
Hi all I'm new.

Lets see stats:

127lbs
5'6"
Body fat is around 21%

I'm 44 and have 5 kids. I've lost about 40lbs over the last almost 2 years. I started with running. I've completed a marathon and decided that I was tired of being skinny fat. I want to build muscle, I know toned is not a good word but I can't figure out a different word to use. I currently train a different body part a day, so I'm at the gym 5 days a week. I havn't done much cardio lately, but do have some trail runs I need to train for, so I'll be doing 30minutes to an hour 4 days a week here soon.

I try to eat as clean as possible, but I'm still working on that aspect. Yep I'm a chocoholic and I know it.

I have hypothyroidism, I use T3 to control it. I'm on 75-100mcg's a day. Depending on the day. I have a wonderful dr.

I hope to learn lots from y'all and have you help with any questions I may have.

Welcome you came to the right place alot of knowledgable people here. I am also new to the board but not new to weight training, I have over 25 years of experience. Most importantly is your eating if you would like to build muscle,2nd working out hard and correctly,3rd proper supplementation and rest. You need bloodwork done to make sure your hormone levels are good.its good you have a good doctor does he know Hormone replacement therapy?

Welcome Ryansmom! Well done for the weight loss and taking the step...
Would it be possible for you to post up diet and your training I know this is a lot to ask but all of us can help different aspects .
A good place to start is like mentioned above diet. 1g of protein for every lb of body weight. Also you need to find out your maintenance cal intake if you come across Caligirl on here she's the lady for this she's awesome ,
Glad to have you here chic good luck and I can't wait to follow your progress ;)
