hey guys.. been lurking for a while decided to start posting... anyways here's some basic info about me.

just turned 14 years old

bench about 165

I have to stay light on squats in light of a recent knee problem, so I'm just doing like 100x15 just to get blood pumping through my quads.

run a five minute mile

weigh 135, about 5'6 or so, and am probably around 7-10% bodyfat. I'm working on getting some pics up.

take fencing around 20 hours a week so gaining mass is pretty damn hard, along with about 8 hours of gym a week due to a special option that gives me about 1 hr 30 min per day.

Alright, now onto a quick q. Do you guys think that a bulking/cutting sort of thing is necessary at this age? I mean, I'm getting my bodyweight in protein and about 1.5 of my bodyweight in carbs while staying lean, do you think gains will slow if I don't seriously bulk?

I guess I have to ask, are you working out seriously now? How long have you been lifting?

If you answered yes to the first question and you've been lifting for a 6 months or so, then I my recommendation is to eat more if your not growing. It sounds like you live a very active life, if this is the case, your body is probably burning up alot of calories coupled with the fact that your young so your metabolism is probably pretty high. I cannot stress this enough, you have to EAT to grow. Try to eat every 3 hours if possible and if possible, pick up some quality MRP's, I have seen great results using Meso-Tech by Muscletech. They have 52g of protein per serving, about 25 carbs and very little fat. Great for in between meals. If you can squeeze about 2 of those a day in with your regular meals and your eating good and consistently, you will grow quickly.

I started working out when I was 14, I wish I knew then what I know now, I could have been competing professionally by the time I was my age now(26). Keep up the hard work and EAT and you'll grow.

no lemur you dont need that just keep training and like blkout said eat and grow then in a couple of years you can start to worry about bulking and cutting, your only 14 just take it easy bro :)

and thats a good bench for being 14 years old...

Good Luck with ure training
