Help!

I recently had my first child and it RUINED my body! I gained 65 lbs while pregnant and have only been able to lose 35 of it. That being said, I am 5'5, medium build, and about 30 lbs overweight. I have been eating a pretty clean diet and working out at least 4 times a week (doing 45 min cardio each time). I've ordered a Clen/T3 combo per the advice of a guy at my gym, but don't really know much about it. Both products are in a little spray bottle (I expected to get pills) The T3 says "Liquid T3 USP 30mL 200mcg/mL" and the Clenbuterol similarly says "Liquid Clenbuterol 30mL 200mcg/mL". I don't know how to start/cycle it. I only want to do ONE cycle and then never touch it again! I also would like to know if it's more dangerous for ME to do being that my BMI is about 26, vs most athletes who take it and have >10% body fat. HELP!!! I'm desperate to get this baby weight off.

I am 27, 5'6, 165 lbs, 27.7% body fat

I'm really of no help for your dosages, someone else I'm sure can comment on that.

2 questions, how long ago did you have the baby? and are you breast-feeding?

Also if you post up what your current diet looks like maybe we can help you twick a few things.

PRetty much what M24 said -- just because you are desperate to lose your weight, your body may not be ready to yet - lots of raging hormones up in there. I'm not a real fan of running off to get thyroid medication to lose weight. If your diet & training program isn't tight, any supplement really isn't going to matter. Let's see what you're doing now to go w/ the drugs.

I eat a bowl of organic whole grain mini wheats with 1% milk and 2 egg whites for breakfast, baked or grilled chkn and steamed veggies for lunch and dinner, and usually fruit with peanut butter or a handful of nuts/almonds for a snack. I don't touch sweets, foods that are high in sodium, or processed carbs. I had my daughter 6 1/2 months ago, and am DEFINATELY not still breastfeeding! I do 45 min of cardio at least 4 days a week, usually 5. I work out my abs every time I go, and rotate my legs/butt and arms every other time.

Kinda looks like you don't eat enough cals, plus the cardio + training --- not enough cals makes yorur metabolism slow down and you may just be hitting a plateau. I'd suggest putting your current meal plan into a food counts program like www.fitday.com so you can see (and post up) how many cals you are really eating and also the macronutrient split (% protein , fat, carb).

So if my main goal is to lose fat, and tone up a little I actually need to eat MORE calories? How many would you suggest? I think I currently consume between 1200-1300 cal a day.

Need to know what you are currently eating first. I don't know how much you eat now. And also what are the macro ratios? Put your meal plan into www.fitday.com and post up the total calories & the breakdown of % protein, fat, carb.

To lose weight, you should eat 10 x your body weight per day. If you weigh 165 then your daily caloric range should be between 1500 and 1650 per day, roughly.

The best thing about fitday is the macronutrient breakdown. Your food choices are wonderful, but put it all in to fitday to see if you are reaching the optimal 40% protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat ratio per day.

And lastly -- I tell everyone what broke my plateau -- I was 185 for 2 years after dropping 80 lbs. What finally broke it was a workout regimen similar to yours (6 days a week cardio, 60 minutes per day, first thing in the morning empty stomach) AND -- my diet.

No carbs til lunch... no carbs after dinner time (well, minimal).

Example: Breakfast is all lean protein (egg whites, turkey sausage, lowfat cheese, protein shakes, etc. thought steel-cut oats would have been fine too), lunchtime I bring in the carbs of all sorts (fruits, rice, pasta, oats, potatoes, etc.) and continue allllll through dinner. After dinner snacks, though, were only nuts, all-natural peanut butter, protein shakes or lean protein (like turkey, chicken again).

The point of this is to keep your blood sugar low as long as possible throughout the day to keep down the insulin release in the body. It is the excess insulin in the body -- the insulin that ISN'T burned by your physical activity -- that will convert to excess fat when unused.

Did the trick for me and it was a really easy change to make in my diet, especially after a few weeks. I'm now a size 6/8 and 160# and put on 15# of muscle in the last year (so I look like I'm 150 or so).

I really hope you find what works! :)

Great advice T-cake and the rest of you.......remeber your body will never be the same as it was before the baby..close but not the same and give yourself ONE YEAR to get the weight off.....sometimes it takes that long..I have had three babies and each one took about a year to get back to the new normal
