Sorry to ask stupid questions here but I guess if don't ask I might be missing out on vital information

I have been training for the past 12 months (on and off) ... My goals aren't to build the biggest ever body but rather a better physique to complement my freaky natural frame.

I am 5'7, 220lbs, 27yrs of age, on a good week I lift 5 days/wk.

anyhow, questions are:

What is bf% ? How do I measure my bf%?
What does carb/protein/cal ration or whatever it is?
How do I go about measuring what calories or how much protein or how much carb does a particular type of food contain?

Again, these are probably baby questions for most of you but I would be content with even a website that may beable to help me realise what all the vital information that I may need in order to train, eat and gain better.

Cheers

1. To measure your bodyfat, go to a fitness center and see if they can do it or go to your doctor. They will be better than measuring yourself but if u do wanna measure yourself get yourself some calipers. I use the fattrack 2 digital calipers (you can find them at the store at www.bodybuilding.com)

2. Calorie ratios Carbs/protein/Fat is basically the ratio of carbss:protein:and fat (hehe) per meal or how many calories u take. Say you eat 2000 calories a day then what percent of those calories are from carbs, proteins and fats? that's the ratios

3. To measure how many calories in the food u eat check out http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/cgi-bin/nut_search.pl

I hope that helps
