Help! Tired ... Protein Shake Sugar Crash? WTF!?!?

I am on a diet, and 2 of my meals per day are a protein shake, with some EFAs (goof fats). Typically these end up being 45 G protein and 13 G fat for each shake.

The problem is that after having a shake, I get VERY tired. Like one of the worse post-meal crash feelings I have ever experinced.

My diet overall is very low carb (probably borders on being ketogenic). These protein shakes have almost NO carbs in them.

So why do I get this feeling of like an insulin-induced blood-sugar CRASH after drinking them?

Any way to stop this? Maybe ALA? (Maybe I AM getting some type of insulin response for some reason...)
 
HMMM...Are you sure that your protein does not have maltodextrin in it ?...Blood sugar maybe to low and thats why you are crashing so hard
 
i have gotten these symptoms too.................i feel tired and a slight headache after a shake during the day
