I am on a diet, and 2 of my meals per day are a protein shake, with some EFAs (goof fats). Typically these end up being 45 G protein and 13 G fat for each shake.
The problem is that after having a shake, I get VERY tired. Like one of the worse post-meal crash feelings I have ever experinced.
My diet overall is very low carb (probably borders on being ketogenic). These protein shakes have almost NO carbs in them.
So why do I get this feeling of like an insulin-induced blood-sugar CRASH after drinking them?
Any way to stop this? Maybe ALA? (Maybe I AM getting some type of insulin response for some reason...)
