You might want to look into the .17 HMR varmint round, its pretty hot right now.

Or maybe consider a Rem700 PSS 223.

Get yourself a high-quality pellet rifle with a good scope. Then you don't even have to leave town to do your varmint hunting. Rats, pigeons, etc...

Yeah but I responded right away too, but it took me longer to post because I actually mentioned a few facts about the gun plus I got him an actual link to a gun he can check out.

Get a Bushmaster AR-15 varmint rifle.... Friend has one with a decent scope and pretty accurate. But then you'll be accused of having an assault weapon !
