Heavy lifting on a full stomach??

I guess you could, but personaly I like to wait about 2.5 hours after I eat before I hit the gym. I like lifting on a semi-empty stomach.

I eat some carbs and protein right before i workout. That way you have some good nutrients available even while you're lifting.

Personally- i feel like im going to pass out if i don't eat right before i lift.

Full stomach + Lifting with big intensity = Good chance of honking

I personally like to train on a very empty stomach. Maximizes fat loss and that way, if you do end up throwing up, its just water.

If fat loss is not an issue (you are bulking, or have a fast metabolism) then a protein/carb shake 30-45 minutes before a workout is ok.

I feel I have more energy training on an empty stomach. I think it's because if your stomach is full, your body's energy reserves is spent on the digestion process..

if you can keep the food down while training and you don't eat such a big meal that all your blood goes to your stomach for digestion, it's ok. I train on a very empty stomach, especially on leg day, I gag like crazy after doing 20 rep squats, I usually have to go outside and barf in a garbage can.
