I get anti-social at times, but I just have to go into hiding for a half-day or so and it passes.

I'm pretty withdrawn too, butt at Cutter's I blossom into the life of the party!

I went away to school for a semester and hated it. I came right back to from upstate back to the Long Island and everything ended up working out well. Before long I was really happy meeting a girl I dated for a long time that I am still friends with today. The beauty of living here in the NYC area is that I make new friends often. It helps because as you meet new people you also lose people because they are loser/moochers types.

I can't believe how many of the people i hang out with (or more like did hang out with, since i barely go out anymore) are just degenerate losers who do the same thing over and over again. They party, are just getting older, don't even have degrees or any real direction, live with roomates in shitty apartments. They either work at the clubs or just promote/run the parties. they get stuck in this little world where they're somebody here, but in the real world they're fucking nobodies so they NEVER leave. It's amazing how fake these people are once you stop chilling with them for a little while because you're actually doing something with your life

it was fun for awhile, but me..i'm the type of person who gets bored with reaching the top of something, especially so quickly and on a small scale. I like challenges.

Most of my friends down south actually had direction and good jobs. And the people i'd meet while going out also had a lot more going for them.

yeah I usually get bored after three years, then I move to another town. I have lived in 3 states and made 4 major moves in the last ten years. I plan on finding roots now, I hope. Although I would love to live in Colorado...

Every so often I get sick of everyone and everything. I cured it by taking a weekend out of town, by myself, completely detatching from it all (no cell, no net, just me and my thoughts). Check into a nice hotel, then wander the city drinking, eating, taking in sights, and people-watching. It's very therapeutic.

But wanting to leave here permanently? No...I can't see that. Truth is, right here is perfect for me 90 percent of the time. For the other 10 percent, I can get out of here and be in either Toronto (3hrs) or Montreal (2hrs) by car fairly quickly.

Sounds like you need new (and a better class of) friends more than you need a new city imo.

If, as an adult, you have even three really good friends...the kind that you could trust with your life...you're doing very, very well.
