Yeah.. I find you get that a couple of times in the cycle. First when you move to a new place that you really didn't want to, I used to say you have to hate it before you can love it.

You are comparing everything there to where you came from - grass is always greener. Takes about 6 months to a year to get over that.

Then, and this is the sign to gtfo, after you have been someplace too long and don't like it, everything and everyone gets on your nerves.

I used to go to parties and think.. same people same conversations, different house. First thing I would do when I got there would be looking for a side door to dissapear from. I would just send my wife a text and tell her I went home already.

That is when you know it is time to pack it in.

there are plenty of people who like it there. it's just not for me. it's pretty different than suburban Chicago/Milwaukee which is where I was raised and where i currently live. I guess I'm just more content being a midwest girl.

Ask Subz and I think he will say he loves it there. Or not, I dunno.

Yeah .. first paragraph was more based on my experience moving to 3rd world countries. First few months everything is fun and new, by about 6 months everthing sucks. But then you start loving the challenge of the whole experience.

Finding a store with a snicker bar or pringles becomes super gratifying. Pop tarts is like winning the lottery.

But after you get all that shit figures out, you either go way native or it is time to move on. Probably why companies figured out to move you around every 3 or 4 years.

It has been a long time since I moved to someplace I really wanted to and thought was great from day 1 so I have to go off your experience there.
