Hanging skin/flab after weight loss...

I lost about 70lbs (260-190) since february, and I'm trying to get as much accomplished by mid august when I go back to school. I look noticably slimmer than I used to, yeah, but now I've got all this extra skin hanging off my abdomen/chest. What can a person do to tighten it up? Just work on building muscle and toning the area? Or is it something that won't really go away once its stretched out... and it is quite stretched out considering the horrible stretch marks covering much of my upper body.

My biggest concern right now is... titties, and not getting more titties in my life (well ok, thats part of it), but mainly getting rid of my own. I've had some slight man-breasts for as long as I can remember, and while the weight loss has helped, it almost makes it more noticable because my gut has shrunk more than my chest. I've used yohimburn df on and off, and I believe it has had some effect, but I really need to start working out more often after using it, so i don't waste it all. They seem to be less fat and more hanging skin than they used to be. When bent over they are more pointy looking than round, but the difference could be in my head. My stomach is pretty similar, it hangs down grotesquely in the middle, while the sides are sunken in more, really strange looking.

Anyway, I realize I could have true gyno, and I may ask my doctor about it at some point, but it won't do much good to know since I could never afford the surgery anyway, nor do I think I would want to have it.

Also, what would be a good workout for after applying yohimburn to my pecs. Just a lot of cardio, or could I benefit from working the pectorals specifically?

well you might try skin wraps or something, but other than that, go get it surgically removed, or build up so much muscle in those areas that it firms it out. otherwise, hello surgery.

As for yohimburn use, you might want to try a search on it, but basically you want to use it about 20 minutes before any sort of workout.

Just keep losing fat. Your skin isn't tight, but if it was truly just extra skin it would hang in really small folds. Get your bf% lower and you should notice changes, but remember the first place you put fat on is the last place you lose it.

Loose skin will tighten up over time on it's own. Until then, you can just fill it with more muscle.

Eh, depends on how loose. Sometimes it never does. Someone who was 250 lbs and loses 100 lbs...Most likely they will be calling a surgeon. Take Subway's Jared for example.

as for the yohimburn, it's technically more effective when you're dipping into ketosis, or when the presence of insulin is low... you're probably going to get better theoretical results applying before cardio. Personally, I feel that the most important thing is to stay consistent with your usage. Put it on before (regardless what type) workout and before bed. This has yielded some pretty solid results for me. My abs look a lot more shredded but hydrostatically speaking, my bf has not dropped.

Thanks for the replies! Hmm, doesn't sound like good news though, I'm not a big fan of surgery, especially not for cosmetic purposes.. although, I am curious as to how much something like that would cost. Is it the kind of thing insurance would even think about helping out with?

I'm gonna continue to lose body fat, and also use yohimburn more steadily. I forgot to mention I'm using thermorexin also... but I may not be able to afford a new supply of either product once the stuff I have runs out :/

Oh yeah... any recommendations for body wraps? Its worth a shot I guess.

Congratulations on your weight loss. 5 months isn't long enough for the skin to retract. I hate to say it but you're going to have to give it at least 9 months if you are under 30. Over thirty and a good 6 months is long enough. After that surgery is the only option. Sorry..

cost depends on several things: the skill of the doctor, the areas treated, the type of procedures performed, etc. If you have a lot of work to be done then expect a large bill. Typically a doctor who comes highly recommended will cost you. I would not be so afraid of doing this as opposed to liposuction, which has much greater risks. If you lose the weight and only need some cosmetic touch up done even if the insurance wont cover it you should consider it a self reward for your hard work. Insurance companies typically don't cover this expense, but some do. They are usually on policies with very expensive premiums which cuts out most of us. It shouldn't cost to much to have a consultation with the doctors office to see about costs and coverage. Let them tell you some information because they are used to submitting claims to insurance and can give you a better idea of whether it will be covered or not. You can always check with your insurance contract to see.
