green tea

Ive read a few posts on green tea here, can someone explain to me its effects on the body, and ive also read something about one kind of green tea being better for you than another....thanks guys!

okay, so green tea raises metabolism by 4-4.5%...what about someone who uses a fat burning catalyst, such as xendadrine..which people on here have said raises metabolism by around 5% too...do they work the same way? or would taking both raise your metab 9-9.5%? Also, how many servings of green tea a day should i take, and what times? we're talking decaf..

*exclaimer* Subjective information...

One piece of advice: Not many companys seem to do research on the long-terms effects of metabolic boosters (too expensive? just want attention for headlines? just wanna earn a buck with care or concern for others?) I think it is possible that the body would quickly adapt to the effects of green tea and level off into its regular metabolic pattern by use of its regulation system. So after a while the effects will disappear, or at least greatly lower. (This is true with coffee drinkers. When you first start drinking coffee you have so much energy. After a while it levels off and you don't get that 'buzz' or the 'shakes' you used to. Even with large amounts. Then you stop. You get headaches and feel even 'more' lazy then before you started.) So I figure once you stop using the green tea you may have a slower metabolism as a result.

I believe anything that you take to enhance your body should be taken for life if you want to keep the effects. Thus don't drink green tea if you don't think you'll drink it for life, you'll just end up with a slower metabolism.

Heres an easier explanation: Its just like a diet. If you lose weight then go back to eating junk food you gain the weight back, plus more then before. You always end up more unhappy.

So,..

before green tea = :)
green tea = :D
after green tea = :(

..that should simplify it!

I'm not sure why I posted the information on the sites. I guess I just temporarily lost common sense. I got happy till I realized what long-term effects the tea may have on you,.. so I was happy for about a minute, lol.

So basically I'm not saying don't take it. Just try to take everything in moderation. Don't rush into things. This is generally good advice for anything in life...

Am I helping anything by typing this bullshit?

MrMakaveli, why is it a bad idea????

After all, Xenadrine Ephed Free already has green tea extract in it...so they cant be bad together.

High doses are bad together.

Tyramine has potential to raise NE by VERY large amounts, add in green tea which retards NE degredation and its kind of bad. Start slow and work up if you use them together.
