Gotta love CNN....

So far from what I've seen today on CNN....

Ron Sliver and Ed Asher talking to Wolf Blitzer about their opinions on Iraq and should USA invade? Brilliant. I am in awe of their intelligence.

Military is training War Correspandants and reporters for a possible invasion of Iraq. They get a week in training on how to survive in case of a war, prevention from injury, and how to protect themselves against deadly gas. Wow.

I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to interview Miss piggy and Kermit the frog about their opinion on Iraq. Hell, they'd get better ratings if they did that. Seriously.

Aren't all three of those guys Jewish?

Back on July 14 the New York Times reported, with barely restrained glee, on the troubles at CNN. Ratings for the Atlanta-based 24-hour news station had sunk to an all-time low, with its signal being picked up in only 300,000 homes in the second week of July. Viewership has plumbed such depths, the Times chuckled, that CNN has been obliged to reimburse some advertisers who bought commercial time based on ratings that turned out to pleasant fantasies.

The Times story was headlined "CNN Ratings Head South. Calling O.J., Calling O.J.," and indeed, during the farce of the O.J. Simpson arrest and trial, CNN's ratings soared. But despite lurid attempts to revive the O.J. factor through a wildly over-promoted exclusive interview with the celebrity wife-beater, it seemed viewers are tiring of CNN. The timing of the slide is problematic, since CNN owner Ted Turner recently agreed to a merger between his broadcasting and entertainment firm and the much larger Time Warner: CNN's crappy ratings are doing nothing for Turner's well-documented attempts to browbeat his new partners into doing things his way.
