good shoes for squatting?

I dont see why you would need special shoes for squatting? It seems to me you should just build up your ankle strength a bit and then you wouldn't neet special shoes. I never wore good supporting shoes and i am fine.

I think supporting shoes are to cover a weakness in the ankle. Look at backetball players. They hav HUGE shoes and their ankles suck ass cause they are sooo untrained.

All I know is that about 9 months ago, while wearing a pair of Nike hiking shoes, I lost my footing with 315 on my back. Scared the crap out of me and almost messed me up.
The wrestling shoes stick like glue, and I lift at my house so I don't care how gay I look. :D

Ooooooooooo Pink! lol

To match the fuzzy dumbbells. Gotta get me some.

Seriously, I just noticed this thread and in one I posted Bfold mentioned my shoes. I need to find out who carries them around here (is it a common brand? you see how much I pay attention to these things) and hope for a sale.

any place that ships overseas?

I really don't know man. You might want to run a search on Chuck Taylors... I may be moving overseas in the next year...it is a scary thought...

Seriously though...I don't mind ordering them for you and shipping them to you...

Not ankle support.

Reading your above statement suggests you have never squatted in a good shoe. Once you try a good shoe you will throw your sneakers out the window. You dont know what you are missing out on

I dont see how a shoe could possibly help. But perhaps you could explain. Maybe its the way i squat. my stance is about shoulder-wide, so my weight is always directly above me. Therefore my feet never slip or feel akward. Mostly i just oncentrate on driving the weight up.
