I would hate to be around you guys when dieting and eating nothing but chicken breast, oats, and broccolli......... you'd all be madder than a fart in a vaccum cleaner!

I quit using tobacco products a while ago, but when on pre-contest diets I sometimes resort to a pinch of skoal mint or kodiak wintergreen to take the edge off. Kills my appetite too.

ive averaged drinking 5 days a week for the past 12 weeks, vodka and diet coke initially, with a couple of beers thrown in. total 5 or so beverages per evening. ive lost 9 kilos in that time (20lbs) and achieved my avatar body shape (best ever.) without strength loss.

i dont, and ahve never used roids. i did not supplement anything at all (aspirin?) in that past 6 months.

bottom line for me is that looking decent while drinking is easily doable when you arent trying to gain giant slabs of muscle, since dropping your total cals, pumping your protein via chewy food sources and reducing cardio is easy. imo trying to put on mucle would be really hard

Good post bro.... I am normally always in 110% "gain mode" BUT there are plenty of times in the summer where a day on the boat with some fine chicks and some alcohol is neccassary. Gotta show off once in a while right? Or else why all the hard work?

goldendelicouis that is a very dumb thing to do to drink that much and lift weights? Just think how you would look and feel if you DIDNT drink that much all the time. Slow down on the drinking man for real

I agree on the frequency. I'd say no more than once a week.....although for me no more than once a month.

First of all, you look fantastic bro. You have a build that 99% of guys are after. And the sad part is they think they need AAS to achieve it. But for true bodybuilders (or anyone looking to gain muscle mass), that much drinking is simply a no-no. The alcohol literally denatures the proteins in muscle and dehydrates you. But you're young and can get away with it, and if you're just out to look good then keep on what you're doing. Hell, most guys I know that dabble in working out drink HEAVILY 3 nights a week and still have six pack abs and great definition. But when the shirt's come off the level of size, muscularity, and muscle quality is night and day between them and me. It's not really fair though, I outweight most of them by at least 70 lbs.

I would love to go out and party that much. I was what you would refer to as a "doorman" last summer and it was fucking brutal watching all these slutty girls walking into the club while I was standing out there sipping water and eating grilled chicken. It was very "rewarding" on many nights, but I still wanted to be inside. But not only do I not have the time for such partying now, I know personally how alcohol effects me the day after. It throws my diet/hydration completely off and all I can get done is cardio. Doing weights after a night of heavy drinking is a total waste. You're just adding to the catabolic state you induced the night prior.

52 21 30 I got a warm fuzzy feeling reading how you sip water and eat grilled chicken instead of drinking, made me feel like I am not the only one! haha :)
