so my mom noticed that my skin hasn't been looking great. I've always been prone to acne, but lately it seems to be more apparent. Being that i'm almost 42, i would have thought this wouldn't be an issue anymore. Add to that any leftover discoloration from past acne, sun damage, and general aging, and i find myself wearing foundation every day just to even my skin.
She suggested i try a glycolic peel. I bought a pretty low strength one (30%) and the site I got it from Professional Skin Care Products Anti Aging Acne .
anyway, the site said to use a lower strength glycolic serum for a few weeks first, to get your skin ready. I think i got the 15% one. They had some obviously bullshit testimonials on the website, but of course I read them anyway. lol
ok, so yesterday i started the 2-3 week prep, and I thought I'd share my progress here.
I took pics today, although i actually think my skin looked better today than it did yesterday and I only used the serum one night. it goes on like moisturizer, but do NOT rub your eye like i did or you'll have a slightly red eye for a few hours. OH, and you must use a strong sunscreen.
anyway, i'll post this morning's pics (yeah, scary, i know. I'm trying to catch all the imperfections in the picture. although, if you noticed, i'm not really wrinkly... thanks emu oil!)
