Glycerine

Does anyone know wether taking glycerine with water will lower your core temp. and thus improve athletic performance? Or anything about taking glycerine in general?

I have like 10 bottles of D-Ribose I'd let go for around $10 each. I think Glycerin probably has decent effects, it increases water absorption which could potentially help an athlete.

I posted about this a few weeks ago.
I belive it can improve vascularity by drawing water in to the muscles.
As for hydration levels: I never really got a clear answer on that.
Anyone?

Well I tried it (about three tablespoons) and 3 quarts of water and by the next day I was up like 6 pounds and full of water. I talked to someone who says that it does keep you cooler....

d-ribose is good to take with creatine as a transport mechanism, but beyond that i don't know that it has another purpose. Glycerol supplements will hydrate the muscle because they draw the water into the muscle. hope that helps-josh

EG:
well at 330 pounds and around 14% bf I ain't razor sharp....lol

no, i just felt a noticeable increase in water retention and it actually felt pretty good.

I have heard a couple people say it lowers core temp, and I know the hydration thing works, so it is a success in that sense, again these are more noticeable effects for a perfomance athlete as opposed to an aesthetic athlete

thanks crmdogg, I ran a Journal of Applied Phys search and found that ribose actually increased the amount of nucleotides which actually is a good thing as far as the rate at which a muscle contracts. this is for an athlete more than a bb obviously, but I am going to give it a try and I will post my experience.

I know this may sound strange but I was thinking of using Glycerin when I go on holiday to Ibiza.
The thing is ,when I'm out there, I go out and can be dancing for like 4-5 hours at a time. Sometimes outdoors.
This results in major dehydration, overheating and poor endurance.
So.......
I was thinking: would using Glycerine help me out in this situation? Would it help me keep hydrated?
