Why does GH cause water retention? How so? What is the mechanism behind that?
drrman said:Not sure of the exact "mechanism" behind it, but it most definitely will make you hold some sub q water. I was on it for about 10 months straight, i guess i was just used to the bit of water it was making me hold, and i really looked the best about 4 weeks after i dropped it.
this is the reason most competitors drop it 3-4 weeks out from a show
Carth said:I see. So what at what dose does GH actually begin to hold water? That's why I asked if taking 2ius per day would cause water retention.
boz44 said:I've been on 2 iu's for a week. Bloated like crazy. I am also on Dbol, so I can't blame the hgh at this point. I will know more when I drop the dbol in a week or two.
Carth said:Yeah dude...trust me on this one. Its the Dbol! LOL
Makavelli said:2 IU's is enough to cause some people to gain water. And you definitely will at 4 IU's. The exact mechanism has something to do with GH cross reacting with Aldosterone levels in the body. When you add test with it the effects are amplified. There was an article on this about a year ago in MD. Good article.

Three months,2iu gh everyday, and I definitely am retaining water(gut, face, hands). I have been doing lots of cardio and playing hockey, and still retaining water. Only stuff using is gh and very mild eca. I probably need to clean up the diet and go higher protein as mentioned before. Any thoughts on how to get rid of the water weight would be appreciated. Maybe the three Diet Dew's per day have to go. Thanks.anthony roberts said:I know that a dose of 2iu/day caused water retention in most of the women I've worked with. I don't know if that's going to be as noticable in men at that dose however (most men I know start at 4iu).

mikefear said:No, it doesn't. It pretty much has nothing in it. But you're right about his diet being the cause of his problems.

Ok Carth, I didn't mean to get you ticked off. I just wanted to mention that I do retain water on 2 iu's of gh(even when I do eat properly and do hours of cardio), and was admitting my bad diet lately was probably to blame for a lot of it. I do not post very often, and this is why. Take it easy dude, I do my research, but am new to some of this stuff. Hope this makes you less ticked.I did know that there were 0 cal's and no sugar in Diet Dew, but the chemicals are not good for you. (even us college educated hockey players know a little about a little)mikefear said:k to you, homie.
