Getting noticed by the media

I train a lot of people (some athletes some are just normal people). I'd like to get the local media's attention.

I found some stuff on ebay about press releases. The link is below but I wanted to get some oppinions on what I should do.

I did a press release with a company and it didn't really get much return. Why don't you find a popular DJ or local TV personality and offer your services for free in return for coverage. Just a thought.

Yeah, just a simple press release isn't enough - it takes some more action - your other ideas were real good - that's how one trainer I know, Doug Murphy, does it - works like a charm -
