recently i guess because of my new dieting and my 5x5 routine my weight keeps changing...1 day i weigh 174 lbs...1 day i weigh 179...my diet hasn't been too strict recently because 2 days ago we had a big party at the house and there was a bunch of food so i kinda had to eat it so i did...the next day we had a bunch of leftovers...and my parents were like you'd better not make ANY steaks or fish or anything - finish the leftovers so it doesn't waste...so i had to...and the leftovers weren't really UNHEALTHY but they certainly weren't what i should be eating...anyways when i see my weight get up to like 178 or 179 ive been taking in fewer calories the next day to make sure it goes down a little bit..and it works
but i was wondering if i DO see my weight increase...how do i know if it's muscle gain or just fat? or is there no real way to do this without going to a university and dunking every week? i have made increases in strength in the gym recently though on the 5x5 so could the weight added be from lifting more? (i hope )
