I do not regard people here as unintelligent or stupid since those are permanent states , they may be uneducated on certain matters (as am I on many) , easily corrected by information which presumably we are all here to learn off each other. There are many here clearly more intelligent than I : Irie , Wodin and Warik spring immediately to mind. I do regard that on a topic as serious as genital mutilation that people , particularly parents or people intending to become parents learn everything there is to know before they make their decision. I feel that is the best way to stamp out this awful practice and its effects on BOTH SEXES.

Ma'am , do you know how rare that practice is in most of the world? Do you know how rare male UTIs are? Most male UTIs in the states amongst uncut males are almost certainly as a result of forced retraction of the foreskin , it bleeds for Chrissakes! All you need do is take stock of nature , for hundreds of millions of years penii and clitorii have existed undeterred and unaffected by the PROTECTIVE SHEATH of skin known as the foreskin or clitoral hood. For Gods sake , if the presence of such a piece of skin resulted in a greater infection rate then nature would have ridded itself of it through evolution , but the opposite happened and that is why its design is seen throughout the mammals of the animal kingdom. You are not the owner , you are the GUARDIAN , there is a significant difference. Did you remove all of the boys' tonsils as a precautionary measure or just the ones that had become infected? Why would you employ different logic with regard to the penis? Why did you remove a part of HIS body when there was nothing worng with it at the time of your making the decision to remove it? THINK.
