I love when you chime in to threads that have marriage in them. Im single and probably wont get married for a long time, if at all. If you would be so kind as to make a comprehensive list of the reasons you are against marriage so I can print it out and laminate it for future reference.

superdave, as for me, I've grown tired of being a player. I'm lonely and ready to settle down. What's fucked up is that since I started looking for someone to be with the rest of my life, I've probably fucked 30+ women. Why is it that when you aren't really looking for casual sex, women throw themselves at you? Then the guys I know who are trying to get pinky stinky aren't getting shit, then they tell me I'm lucky and they hate me? Perhaps, it boils down to the fact that the guys who aren't desperate for pussy are more of a challenge for the ladies, and are somewhat unobtainable, thus more desirable. Your thoughts?

This is totally accurate. Women are "hard-wired" to desire a man that doesnt appear to need to get laid. What this really means is she desires a man who has SELF CONTROL, a man that doesnt give in to his "instinctual primal desires". It means he has somewhat evolved to become a fully thinking man with control over his body and emotions. This is why you get pussy when you arent looking for it. Women desire a man who can control his emotions and not succumb to animalistic things like needing sex all the time.
 
2Thick lists the major reasons, there are more that I'll list later, but the number one reason not to get married is women.

Low self esteem? I think not. I just can't stand hard legs hitting on me all night. No matter how good looking you are, or think you are, if you approach me in a bar and hit on me, you can forget it. Yep, I've had the best results by ignoring a womanl until she starts hitting on me, then chat with her about real things without hitting on her. If there is a group of girls, its best to act flirtaous and sexy, but try not to single one out and hit on her. Dispite not actively looking for one-night stands, I'm obviously not going to turn down a good looking woman who obviously wants me to go home with her 9 times out of 10. Anyway birdstang is right, the women who seek the most attention, and love being hit on, are the one's with the lowest self-esteem.

Depends what you mean by worshipped. I don't want to stand on a pedestal all year round, we tend to fall off of them anyway. But to have a complete anti-women, anti-marriage, assholish kind of guy tell you he'd change it all for you, I'll fall for it, all the way. And no, I wouldn't have him marry me. It's the feeling of being so important to someone that no matter what their convictions may have been, you make them see the world differently. If that's being worshipped, than yea. I'm all for it.

I'm just sick of games. I think the majority of women play games and I just won't do it. This woman at work that I know, I told her that I wanted to be friends with her and go out and have fun together, but that I did not want a relationship with her. I spelled it out clearly so there would be no confusion. She's still playing games. She asked me to meet her today outside to talk. I take the time to wait for her, she shows up 10 minutes late, brings a friend with her and ignores me. So I look like an idiot standing there while they are talking, like i'm some kind of puppy dog following her around. I know this was her intention. I abrubtly interrupted them and said, "I'm going to lunch, see you later." It pissed her off that I wouldn't stand there like and idiot for her to make her look good. I could tell by her attitude later. Fuck it, I'm thru with her. She also made promises to help me get guaranteed loans and she didn't deliver. Full of shit, like most people.
 
Just to clear things up before this goes any further, I am not a bitch. I do not shun anybody that talks to me in a bar whether he is ugly or cute, I will talk to him. Info. in his PMs gave him away from the beginning. He thought he had me fooled into thinking he was Amber. I played along. I was hoping others would find out he was full of BS. Maybe no one realized he was a guy but they did notice he lied.

I would like to believe in that soul mate, true love, together forever bullshit, but unfortunately I am cursed with being a realist, and having half a functioning brain.
