Actually after watching the vids, my gyms buddies in the background were only squatting down to parallel, most probbaly because of the wooden block, but I think they still went down all the way. maybe :)

actually I was teetering on the edge, and I thought I could rescue it, and then thought "oh sh*t I'm falling back!" , and I thought I was gonna get hurt, but it turned out ok :D

I need to start doing some of those squat clean practices...no joke. That would definately help me out a lot. I never though about power cleaning the weight...then squatting it down like that.

Your sumo form looked AWESOME!! Seriously...better than mine I do believe...

The fall...nice...I give it an 8:) Glad that you laughed about it...I always try to laugh about mine...lol.

im gonna give the squat cleans a go i think.....i usually do em with just the quick clean and now squat but it seems it would be more beneficial to go down a bit more :)

Hey B Fold,

Have you ever got stuck in the bottom position when you performed box squats? Have you ever had to let the weight roll of your back?

Nice job C. I too enjoyed the blooper as well as the other movies. I know you are helping many people learn new variations of weight lifting. Thanx for the post. :) btw, your experience is to thank for the safety you demonstrated through the squat/clean. Keep it up, 240 round' the corner :)

CC,

I forgot to mention that you handled the failed attempt nicely! I am glad you weren't injured. I have to admit, it was kind of funny when the barbell rolled over your upper body without it touching you. You were slick!!

Anyway, be careful!!

Cheese got stuck twice...I was there to stand him back up both times...

Polishhammer - 240 in what

anyway they're just vids for my own use to check my form, but thought someone might enjoy wathcing them :)

I'm slowly upping the weights on the sumo deadlifts and keeping tabs on my form. I'm pretty confident I could kill 455lbs now in conventional - clean pull stylee. normally whatever I can cleanpull for around 1-2 heavy reps - double that and that's my dealdift max. for example when I did 405lb, my cleanpull PR was around 205lbs. When I attmpted that 455lb deadlift, and nearly got it, 225lb cleanpulls were frigging heavy.
Now I can pull 225lbs cleanpulls for multiple sets without too much effort and 235 is not too bad either.
