seriously, the WWE went overboard with them canadians.. i know its a show designed to get the crowd into it... but some things you just dont touch.. and september 11th is one of them... they went over the line.

I have to dissagree. So far they are doing it without going over the line in my opinion but down the road I think they will go to far with it. They are going by the name of the UnAmericans instead of the Anti-Americans which is definatley a smart move. I see your point but I don't think it has gone to far yet.

i htink they did cross the line a lil bit, however first off i am gonna have to suspend disbelief to become xenophobic of canadians.

After watching raw and what they said at the begining of it tonight I will say that they just crossed the line. Having Lance Storm bashing our President isn't exactly the right way to go about this whole angle. Oh well what can we do, I will keep on watching it.

I have to turn the channel when the "Un-Americans" come on. Makes me really uncomfortable. I'm not sure what Vince is thinking, afterall these stunts usually wreck careers. If VM had any guts, he'd go with something like "Son of Iron Sheik". Having 3 Canadians spout off about Americans sounds rediculous. I can't wait until this story line is over.

It is really difficult to make strong heels these days. Vince will do what it takes to make 3 mid carders into a strong heel group.

Remember during the gulf war. Not only did Sgt Slaughter become and Iraqi, but Hogan ended up dropping the strap to him.

The fans want someone to hate.

It is a poor attempt to recreate the "Canadian Connect" that existed years ago and was made up of Bret Hart, Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart.

Out of that group, 3 are dead, one retired and the one with the least amount of talent is the only one with a wrestling career left.

Vince should have recruited more Canadians to really really give it an impact and dumped the UnAmerican type theme. Benoit and Jericho could have given the group upper star status, Bringing back Mike Awesome would have given Test a heavy hitting partner and former world champion.

I don't think the unamerican thing will last, but I do think that it has been successful in getting over at least two guys who they couldn't get over with a forklift before (Test and Storm)

I like what they are doing with the Island Boys. Savage attacks on non-wrestler and fan favorites makes them easy to not like.

Well here we are talking about it, so in that respect the angle has worked beautifully. Though some of what they say is very thought provoking, it can't, and shouldn't't be taken too seriously. This is the WWE, not a stage for political debate. The show is designed to entertain nothing more.

What they say has nothing more to offer than shock value.

They did this same crap a decade ago during the Gulf War, giving Sgt Slaughter the angle of an Iragi. Remember? The old-ass Iron Sheik returned as "Colonel Mustafa."

But I do admit, I don't think it's right. I'm not bothered by it at all, but there are still too many sensitive people in this country right now.
