Clenbuterol is used to treat asthma and is very popular with bodybuilders because it increases muscle growth, boots energy levels, and cuts fat. It is a beta-2 antagonist, which means that is has effects similar to the fight-or-flight hormone adrenaline. It builds muscle by promoting specific signaling pathways inside the cells that activate protein synthesis and modifies protein breakdown, remodeling and repair. It decreases body fat by binding with the adrenaline receptors in fat cells which promotes fat breakdown and release.

Clenbuterol can have NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS on the heart and blood vessels. Emergency room physicians from the University of California, Davis Medical Center, led by Patrick Daubert, reported the case of a bodybuilder who overdosed on Clenbuterol and had severe cardiovascular effects. He reported to the emergency department after taking 1.5ml of Ventipulin (brand name for Clenbuterol), which is 10 times the normal dose. He had a resting heart rate of 254 beats per minute and exhibited a life-threatening heart rhythm called ventricular tachycardia. His electrocardiogram (measures electrical impulses in the heart) was still abnormal 16 hours after taking this drug and didn’t normalize until 3 days later (due in part to long half-life of Clenbuterol, 18-36 hours). A Rutgers study on racehorses showed that Clenbuterol could cause heart failure. Clenbuterol is a potentially dangerous drug when taken in higher than recommended doses and should not be taken lightly by bodybuilders. (Journal Medical Toxicology, 3: 56-60, 2007)
 
yeah well when u take 10x the recommened dosage what do you expect.. let me guess he has an pre exisiting heart condition as well.. ...

who knows if he did.

BTW 10X the recommended dose is 10X of the therapeutic dose not 10X the bodybuilding dose (which is very close to this level).
 
I always believed Clenbuterol was not very anabolic if at all in fact. I was of the opinion it had anti-catabolic effects which allowed the body to utilize fat stores for energy rather than muscle.

The 1 1/2mls quoted is about what is taken by a lot of BB'ers. I am currently on 150mcgs/day myself which is 1 1/2mls for the product I have.
 
I just got like 500 pills and hope to include them in my cutting cycle....I will start at a small amount and hopefully won't overdoze....

Always a good idea to cycle up with clen slowly, especially if you have not done before so you get a handle on the sides.

There seems to be anecdotal evidence that it is anabolic but I doubt many bb's will ever notice its effect if they are used to running test. Plus clen is usually used on a calorie deficient diet so in this case (as long as u are not too deficient) it will act as an anti-catabolic. I typically run a small dose of test with mine as it sometimes works a little too well at helping lose the weight.

I am not sure what the dose per ml was. It probably was 200mg/ml. Since the typical therapeutic dose is around 10-60mcg ed (based on body weight usually) that would put 150mg close to 10X. I have personally used 200mcg ed (tapered up to this dose) and only stayed there for about 3 weeks with no ill effects. I have noticed a difference between dosage strength of liquid versus tablet. It seems the liquid stuff in general is underdosed.

I learn something new everyday. I was given this med years ago. It made me SICK and anxious.
Call me nuts, but why the hell would bodybuilders risk so much to lose body fat? There are so many natural and SAFE products on the market to lose body fat.

I actually poured a bottle of Clenbuterol down the toilet about a month ago after trying one more run with it. It definitely doesn't work well enough to make me tolerate the shakes, headaches, and compete feeling of absolute ass that I get. There are much better alternatives IMO.

i would worry bout long term affects of clen more then short term .. it is shown to damage heart tissue from repeated use ..allthough both should be a concern

I've gotten a handle on the sides, but was having some headaches... day 9 for me @ 100mcg
 
I have NO idea why you would run this longer than a week. I've used it several times and after a week the syuff doesn't work nearly as well if at all. I ran my cycle as follows with T-3:

Clenbuterol / T-3
S: 20mcg 25mcg
S: 40mcg 25mcg
M: 60mcg 50mcg
T: 80mcg 50mcg
W: 60mcg 50mcg
R: 40mcg 25mcg
F:20mcg 25mcg

Lower dosage and much less time "on". The only real sides I had was a vicious headache all the time. Taurine and Potassium are a must while running this.

I lost a total of 5lbs. of body fat using this cycle for the first time, I took a three week break and then ran it again , another 4lbs. Diet and cardio were in check the whole time. Which of course is the main component.

effectiveness typically slows down by day 18 for clen.

we reach plateaus even with "natural" dieting & exercise. i guess i am fortunate with clen as it keeps getting better for me as time goes on. i never have to cycle 2 weeks on/off. i use taurine & benadryl (week straight during every 3rd week). just like with other aas each have preferences to certain compounds and some seem to defintely work better for some than others.

i am curious what rationale did u use for the tapering down of the clen?

even if u find the 1 week time frame best for clen i would still run the t3 throughout and just taper it off during your last week of clen.

I'm actually up to 120mcgs today [not going any higher]. The first few days were pretty rough, but over the last few days, going from 80 to 100, and now today at 120 has been a piece of cake.

As far as results go... lost 2lbs in the first few days, and will weigh myself this afternoon. I'm thinking I'm not really getting much in the way of lost pounds.

I'm not pickin' on you so don't get excitied but you could've lost 2 pounds (or likely more) 20 mins in the sauna and it's hell of a lot better for you

easily lose 2 pounds over night wearing a sweatshirt

..or an easier, healthier and more perminent way to lose 2 pounds (of fat and not just water) is with knowledge of diet

BTW, how old are you?

Rationale for tapering down was an abrupt stop without tapering led to better results through trial and error. I always run T-3 with clen and run 25mcg the first few days then up to 50mcg and back down to 25mcg.

The stuff works for me but I adapt a tolerance VERY fast and if I use short quick burst of it intermittently it seems to work much better. The bad part about using for me is that the sides are the worst the first 3-4 days, even at these light doses.

I do agree that everything works different on a single person, for that here's some karma for you!

I've used Clen a few times now with varying success. As others have mentioned diet is really the key. If you can stick to a caloric deficit diet then clen does work well. I have tried same without the clen and results are far superior with it. Addition of T3 is also a very good idea. This combination is potent and you have to cycle up and down the T3 but you only really need to cycle up the clen. Actually I have a reasonable tolerance to most stims and with clen now I jump on at 50 and go up 50 a day to 150-200mcgs without any real problems but everyone is different. This is not what I advise of course but just stating there is differences for all of us. Ideally you should start out low and ramp up very gradually. Hit your max dose and stay on that for duration of cycle.
 
man I have that "hangover" headache right now. Its even hard to type with the shakes. I just started yesterday and usually it takes a few day for these sides to drop for me anyway. This is only at 50mcgs, I don't think I'll jump up another 50 tomorrow.

Oh, I realize that 2 lbs isn't anything and wouldn't necessarily result from the clen. I am also dieting, (eating about every three hours each with lean protein/carbs, around 1800 calories daily).

I am 25.
