for the low carbers...how bout some blue cheese dressing with that meat?

im in the store today lookin for stuff to add variety to the diet, and then i come across "maries blue cheese dressing"...i used to kill this and marzettis blue cheese dressing with my wings back in the day. checked the label and it seems like a great addition to just about any meat for some extra flavor and calories. fyi

ingredients seem kosher to me as well, pick some up and toss it on ur ur chicken and shit, its good :)

other stuff i started using too: california avocados(mmmm), walnuts and pecans mixed with natty peanut butter (mmmmmm)

if you got any other good foods for low carb diets, post em

as an aside, i started my tkd today and i actually had alot of energy today for my workout, i ate rice 40 minutes before the gym and had a great workout followed by a fast pace mile run, much more productive today than other days without carbs wooohoooo
 
Dressings

I would say dressings are TOO HIGH in fat. 18-22 grams of fat per 2 tbls serving. I use lite dressings that have like 6 grams of fat and only 2 or 3 carbs per serving. This is better becasue you can use more of it. I ate mad amounts of Chicken Ceasar salads this summer with a lite dressing. itry and keep my total fat per meal at 12 grams to no more than 18 grams per meal while doing a low carb diet.
 
n3rvegrind3r, have you checked to see how long after a workout it takes you to get back into ketosis on TKD? I'm interested to see if TKD would keep you in ketosis longer than CKD. I know that's the claim, but just wondering if you have any experience?
 
furg, ill try to post some results in the next week to two, have to run and buy some ketostix, and i dont have any equipment to check otherwise. i know others have posted their results on the forum though, i have generally seen 2-5 hours i believe to get back into it

slyder, i would agree they are too high, i guess for low carb diet, they are fine though since your getting most of your calories from fat. not like im dropping the bottle on my food too, just a scoop for nice flavor :)
 
blue cheese dressing is great
but make your own
easy
2 ounces of fav bleu cheese
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
2 ounces red wine vinegar
shit loads of black pepper

viola
yes i love the stuff
i actually use that recipe in my restaurant
