Hi...sorry, I have 1 more question regarding the Paragard IUD if you don't mind. This may sound really stupid but I was wondering....let's say you have the IUD taken out after 2 years because you want to have a baby....then after the baby, can you have that same IUD reinserted because it's techinally good for 10 years?? Or do you just have to fork out the cash and buy another one? I was thinking about this and didn't know if that was even sanitary....or could they sterilize it and so it would still be safe to reinsert?

Ok....thanks....I thought that might be the answer. I just couldn't find any info on my paticular question. You've been very helpful Spatts...now I'm just trying to decide if I should get it now or wait until my husband and I have our 2nd child (we'll definitley start trying within the next 3 years). Did you really notice a significant difference when you went off hormonal birth control? I just seem to have this layer of "gush" around my whole mid-section and lower back that I just can't get rid of no matter what I do and it's so frustrating. THis started BEFORE I had my first child so I know it's not from the pregnancy.
