Look, just forget the keto diet. I have done it and did not like it. While there is no doubt that the diet works, it does not particularly lend itself to sparing muscle. And muscle is the most important factor in your metabolic rate that you can control. I would highly recommend talking to a good trainer and people on this board to get set up with a good basic body building diet and go from there with a good basic exercise program like the HST. Apply those methods and keep it simple. Within 8-16 weeks you will be a new person. So forget the keto thing, it's good for some and the obese but in the end it's all calories in = calories out so you can see how it does not matter. Carbs are good and your body needs them, just not too much, everything in moderation.
