Female Diet Ratio? Advice needed.

Xtreme2001

New member
I need some advice on a diet for a female.
She is 5'5, 150lbs, 21 years old.

My major concern is health issues. I've read over and over that the RDA for women is approximately 2100kcal/day. I've place her on a diet which maintains roughly 1000kcal/day and am wondering if this kcal/day is sufficient for her? She's been doing it for approx. 2 weeks now and feels fine. Feels hungry alot, but is doing everything right.

The split is:
40% fat/ 30% carbs/ 30% protein

So roughly, she is receiving 40g/fat..80g/carbs..74g/protein everyday.

She has no intention on competing, or lifting heavy. I know that 1-2g/pro/lb is irrelevant for her. She does not need that amount.

Is the nutrient ratio split ideal?

Thanks.

Most of us cut on 10-11xbodyweight; that would put her at 1500 kcals/day minimum. I think you've got her too low. I'd also switch to at least 40% pro. Remember your body works harder digesting protein sources (food, not supplemental), so your metabolism will actually increase a bit while digesting. When I cut, I keep my protein intake high.

I was thinking the same.

Her body fat is around 17%?

The only reason why I did not increase the protein so high was because she does not train heavily. So having 150g/pro/day is irrational for her, I think anyways.

Any additional help?

THanks alot.
