Fat 1hr after PW shake?

Hello!

Is it safe to have a Protein+Fat meal, let´s say, about 1hr to 1hr and a half after a PW shake - Whey and high GI carbs?

I don´t know how long my insulin will be "up", if it lasts more than one hour then I should not have fats, as to avoid its storage in the body...

Any help?

I wouldn't.

You're insulin will probably be high still and you don't want to eat fat with elevated slin levels.

Damn...

I just workout late in the day, so I´d have the PW shake and then the last meal of the day, consisting of protein and fat mostly, although having a side dish of fibrous carbs, like peas/ spinach/salad.

I see a potential problem here... if I can´t have fat in my last meal of the day because of those high GI carbs, either I´ll have to workout eralier in the day OR don´t have fat in my last meal (which I think is bad)

Is there a time-gap to shoot for after you´ve taken those high GI carbs? Will 2 hours be enough to get that insulin lower?

Because I´m trying to keep my carbs early in the day and then switch to P+F meals later on...

carbs after training will not make you fat...i eat my second pw meal 20 minutes priro to bed and there's a shitload of carbs in there.

I usually finish training at 9pm on weekdays. I'll hit my system with my PW shake. about an hour later i'll have another P+C but it's a small meal and the carbs are low gi. I've been told this helps to regulate blood sugar levels but also i've been told that hitting a pw shake straight after training, the insulin spike does not last as long since your body puts those carbs into use and soaks it up like a sponge!

Sounds good to me...
