facial hair and females

what percentage of females have a few hairs on the chin to pluck? Is this a normal thing?

Do many woman get a few hairs on the chin and pluck them so guys never know???? And i mean without AS

I have no idea what percentage. I think it has to do with genetics and hormones. Higher levels of testosterone can cause this. Post menopausal women sometimes see dark hairs sprout up where there never were any. That's because their estrogen levels have dropped dramatically and the ratio of estrogen to testosterone is much smaller than it used to be.

Also, darker haired women are more likely to have visible hair because it shows up more easily. I just have some slight blonde peach fuzz, but I shave my entire face because it looks smoother and holds makeup better. (Actually a well known make-up artist who always looks wonderful said she did this, and I've been doing it ever since.) If the odd dark hair were to sprout on my face, it wouldn't stand a chance.

But to answer your question, I think this happens to women more than they're willing to admit. Laser hair removal is big business, and electrolysis has been around a long time. I read somewhere that even the ancient Egyptians were into hair removal.

Word of advice....

NEVER...EVER try and remove what you think is a stray hair from a woman's face. I have a client that had, what I thought , was a stray hair on her face. It was long enough to attach a bead to the end of it! Damn thing was growing out of her chin! I wanted to die when she said, "I really should get that removed , right?"

As to your ? I have my 'stache waxed every six weeks! I noticed my 'stache starting at 18 when I started the B/C pill ! Other than the 'stache,I have not yet noticed any other odd hairs...YET!

Christ, the crap we women have to look forward too! Shoot me now , please!

FF, you shave your entire face? Doesn't it grow back thicker? How often do you do it? I have a very little bit of hair over my cheeks and thought about getting it waxed off but I'm afraid it will grow back thicker.. it's barely visible now to me and no one else seems to notice it but I do!!:)

I get an occassional hair - most of it is a really blonde peach fuzz. The occassional hair just gets plucked. I actually end up getting my eyebrows waxed & dyed because they are just too light - makes me look like I have half a brow. Maybe spatts can lend me some of that unibrow! Together we'd have exactly what we need :)

I'm a fairly hairless person. Like my mother, I don't have to shave my legs. I've never shaved mine and they are smooth.

But I do have 2-3 hairs on my chin. I'm sure I'm the only one who notices - unless someone is very close to me and RIGHT under me or my head is tilted back. (Like maybe the dentist would notice.)

When I notice them getting LONG, I cut them close with hair-trimming scissors.

I shave it once a week or so. It doesn't seem to grow back any thicker. There are some hair inhibiting cremes like Vaniqua but I've never tried them. Shaving's quick and easy. I don't want to put any more gunk on my face than I have to.

Just a straight razor then?

Pre AAS it was just my lip. Now it is a never ending battle. I shave, pluck and have the laser removal when it gets really bad. It is coarse and black and the new battle ground seems to be my neck. The laser lady just can't figure out what the problem is LOL.
