Face pulls, upper back, rear delts...

I finished my OHP workout off with face pulls last night. Of course I did my Log Press, 2 board press, tric extensions, and chins...then did a set of 50 reps on face pulls and my upper back was burning quite nicely.

Today it is fairly sore...I like it and suggest them to everyone. I'm not for sure how effective that the high reps are but they have made me a little sore...so who knows.

as a means of AR i have been doing sets of 20-50 on off bodypart days. im pretty happy with the results. seems like working multiple energetic (rep range) pathways is more complete for the muscle. actually i have been gaining weight a bit since doing so.

my fave lately is 50 rep seated calf raises, 50 rep tricep pressdowns with bands supersetted to 50 rep preacher curls with bands. arms are swollen when im done!!!

ill have to try some of the shoulder stuff. only thing ive done is side/front/rear raises 15reps each continuous. very good pump/burn on those.

face pulls might be really worth looking into. forearms and upper back would be wrecked me thinks. :D

I saw a dude doing what I thought were face pulls with the tricep rope thing. He leaned back, about 30 degrees, then pulled the weight horizontally (he was on the cable crossover machine) to his face.

Some sort of variation?
 
Spatts posted a great picture of face-pulls one time. If someone asked nicely, maybe she would post them again.:)

That actually wasn't the one I was thinking about. There was another one she posted a long time ago.

But that one in the Active Recovery sticky is a really good representation of them also.

I started doing face pulls a couple of weeks ago. I like them, too. I do them seated on the floor with a cable pulley adjusted to near face level. When I pull the rope attachment, it heads toward my chin.
