Everyone might laugh about my '83 Diesel Seville.....

YES, it's the "worst engine ever put in an American car" (source Car & Driver Magazine in the 80s), and they were all recalled after a class action suit against GM in the mid 80s, and hardly any of them were still around by the late 80s. But that's why I had to have one ;-) . And it runs fine! Here is Jay Leno giving me thumbs up on it at the GM National car show this morning. He said "I haven't seen one of those 5.7 Diesels that ran right; not even in the showroom in '83"! He was actually impressed, and asked me how in the world I was able to get it to Woodley Park in Van Nuys all the way from Chatsworth; 8 miles away, without a tow truck....

nice olds. formerly FWD vehicle. We had a FWD olds toronado at one time. I know Leno's has been modified and is now RWD (with a 1000 HP twin turbo, corvette motor).

My dad used to tell me about those cars... never seen one though. Crazy to think that someone could take a 350 block and make it into a diesel and have it run for very long thought.
