Gotta question - if you were doing a contest prep diet, your weight loss would obviously slow down once you got your weight down to a certain point. How many pounds/pound would you think is normal to lose - say - one month away from the competition? Maybe .5 per week??

If you've got your diet and training dialed in then the rate of weight loss should be pretty constant. In other words as you get longer into your diet you need to adjust things to maintain weight loss, whether that is refeeds, thermogenics, more energy expenditure (exercise), higher protein, reduced carbs etc...I aim for around 2 lbs per week, but this is on the high side for many people and depends on how much you have to lose in the first place.

How do you measure 1% loss of bodyfat?

For me I lose a lot of weight in the first week and last week due to fluid loss, but I otherwise assume 75% of my weight loss is from fat if all goes well. This works out close to 1% per week on average for me too, but in terms of weight it is more than that. I lose a lot of muscle going from around 12% down to 8%. Those last four weeks are a killer :( :(

Of course AAS will help with that.

I think you mentioned you had 2.5 months = 9 weeks? I lost 7 lbs in 8 weeks and 3.5% bodyfat...it depends on what your eating, how your training, and what your goals are... so how much do you want to lose?
