Hello,
I am 22 years old, 5'11, 230 pounds, not sure on body fat. I have been lifting pretty consistent for about 4 years now and have always ate a lot but started eating better in the past 6 months. I am nearing the end of my first aas cycle. I did Test-E 250mg twice a week for 11 weeks. I start my PCT on the 15th and it consists of noladex, clomid, and clen to help burn some fat. Before I even considered my cycle was about 185 pounds. I started eating 20 calories per pound of body weight and added more protein to my diet. After about 5 months I got up to about 220-225.
I decided to start my first cycle and since I have made pretty good strength gains and some size gains but I haven't put on as much weight as I hoped I would. I now weight about 232 and I think I am holding at least 10-15 pounds of water. Does this mean I have not made any gains? My strength has went up considerably. My bench has went up from 385 to about 435. My squat has went up about 50-60 pounds. My deadlift has went up about 70 pounds.
Throughout my cycle I kept increasing calories but was unable to put on much weight. According to the 20 calories per pound of body weight theory I only need 4600 to grow and I was taking in about 5000+, 500+ carbs, and 500g of protein a day. I felt like I was putting on fat so I lowered my calories to about 4300-4500 a day and my carbs are at about 400-450 a day. Protein is still at 500g. Since decreasing my calories I haven't lost any weight.
I thought I would put on a lot more then 10-15 pounds on my cycle and I am very bloated so I believe I am holding at least 10 pounds of water. What am I doing wrong? Or is it possible that I have burned fat and gained muscle and that's why my weight isn't continuing to go up.
