I dont know if anyone has ever suggested this but if so then disregard the post!!! IF NOT......WHAT DO YOY GUYS THINK ABOUT AN ONLINE BODYBUILIDING COMP FOR THE ELITE MEMBERS??

ALL WE WOULD HAVE TO DO IS SET UP A POST WHERE WE COULD SUBMIT 3 PICS EACH(FRONT, BACK AND SIDE)AND A WAY FOR US TO VOTE FOR THE ONE WE FEEL IS THE BEST!!!! THE MODS WOULD KEEP IT ALL EVEN AND AT THE END WE WOULD KNOW WHO THE TOP 5 BEST PHYSIQUES ON THE BOARD ARE!!!!AND TRUST ME THIS WOULD ELIMATE ALOT OF GUYS WHO TALK SHIT AND HAVEN'T SEEN THE GUYS PHYSIQUE THEY ARE TALKING TO...

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK???

I'm in, I'll get my ass kicked but I'm down with it. Do we do it on this post or create a new one. A lot of guys might not want to as it's winter and many are bulking.
 
sounds cool but why not have a real competetion we could have it anywhere you see the price for flights now are cheap so now whats it worth to you all Im calling you all out lol no really lets do it a show of the best who knows this old guy could do well

WHO EVER HAS THE MOST VOTES WIN, THATS HOW IT WOULD BE DONE......

im definatly in,lets do it in say july,ill have time to bulk up and cut down from now till then,but we gotta have different categories,no way im going up against needsize dissto 2thick and the other boys ill look like a ethiopian

Great Idea!! I think if it is launced it should be launched late spring early summer. Too many guys are in their bulking phase right now. So we'll need to give them time to condition.
 
guys i totally agree about the time factor........by next year july (if we do it by then) i will be soooo freakin big and ripped.....holy shit batman "its the juggernaut".....YEAAAAAAAAA

Anyway, about the time thing, you could just post your best all round pics, instead of current pics...think that would make it more fair.

AUDIO8---i hear ya bro. well we would surely have different weight classes to make sure it was fair. and for the few guys who try to post pics of pro's we'll be keeping a sharp eye on those pics........i mean think of the scorn for that poor bastard who gets caught using someone else's picture!!!!!

KINGC_79---dont think of this as a way for the guy who is voted number one to look down on the other competitors but rather a way for all of us to get a chance to show the members around the world allllll our hard work in and out of the gym!!!!!
 
Ok then bro its your idea so lets say its in July but lets get a few name on who is going to be in it if you need any help bro let me know Ill do my best to help but I do think all the contestants should send in and email and then we could have a list of them if you would like Ill set up and account for it drop me a line if you need any help Oh yea Im in but go easy on me 38yrs old 247# 7% now and Im starting my bulking cycle soon 3 more weeks cant wait

i definately like the idea of next june/july. ill be already competing in that month, and ill be up 2 categories from next year. guess ill have to work on getting a digital cam.
 
DOCTORHERB---LMAO .....THAT WAS FUNNY BRO....yea i started my cycle. when i spoke to you i was around 208lbs....im now a hard 235lbs.......hope you are ready to eat humble pie baby....lol

LTHRNK---247lbs 7%bf...shiiiiiiiit you cant enter you big ripped son of a bitch......BUT YOU CAN BE A JUDGE.....LOL.....DAMM with numbers like that i cant think what you will look like by next year!!!! sounds like you wont have any problem competeing youg fella!!!! as for help putting this together....i am waiting to hear from george. if he cant do much then it will be up to you and i to make it happen!!!!
 
I like the idea. BUT, it will take a while. I guess next I'm in contest shape I'll have to take whatever specific photos one would need for the contest. SO if this is to be done, let's be sure we make that amply clear.
 
Well, we'd have to come up with the basis of the contest. Would it be like a normal bodybuilding contest where the winner is the one who has the best physique/symmetry?? I like the weight class idea. What I thnk works the best is best over all improvment (kind of like Body for Life but with AS). We set a date that everyone has to have their B4 pics in (using a newspaper in the pic so we can tell exactly what date the person started on. Then we give it 8, 10, or 12 weeks. Then we set a date that everyone has to post their "after" pics. Then the judges separate them by weight class and the winners of the contest are judged based on their transformation. Then an overall winner is to be picked from the whole competition giving him the bragging rights/pussy invitations. What do you guys think??

I like the idea but there will be cheaters, but that can be worked around. What we really need is a real show, perferably an NPC open. I suggested this to George a few weeks ago on the select board.:D
 
NEWGUY 1980----although your idea is in good spirit....a bodybuilding show is not judged or conducted in that way. as a bodybuilder the parameters set would have to follow the guidelines of a normal show without the stage. there will be weight classes, and each group will be judged on size, hardness, seperation and overall muscularity. dont forget there wont be professionl judges doing the voteing ....the votes will come from the board members around the world based on what they feel is the best package.

LIFTSIRON--- I LIKE YOUR IDEA OF AN NPC SHOW EVEN BETTER. im thinking that would cost some bucks for george and his crew. wouldnt an online competition be a good way to see what level of participation and intrest the members have? i mean if it did really well then george would know with confidence he can go ahead with the real show and have a great turn out and not loose money!!!! how many promoters wouldnt like those kinds of results??!!!!
 
By all means lets start with an online competition. In my post to George I suggested that he sell entries and tickets in advance with the understanding that if not enough were sold, entry fees and ticket sales would be refunded. I also suggested that maybe the show could be held at a less expensive venue than New York city. :)
 
how would a weight class be enforced. in a pic u cant tell how tall someone is. so, me for example, im 5'3" and 165. in a pic u might assume that i was of average height, which would make me look closer to 190. i dont wanna be dubbed a cheater, if this comp goes through.

yes..there are too many variables here. if this is to really work, one would have to sit down for a while and come up with a lits of rules, and ways to enforce those rules.
 
Why would you need weight classes? It's already been pointed out that you can't tell a person's height or weight by photos. Just judge by who has the best physique.:mix:
 
I like this idea.

Should it be a general poll?
Or judged by people with experience?

Or both, to see how much people agree with judges who know wtf they are doing (hmm i guess that disqualifies anybody who judges the olympia)

i think id prefer to see no real judges. all the shows ive been to, the crowd has always done a better job judging then the judging panel themselves. but who knows it might not be so bad on the board, cause there wont be alot of politics like in real shows.

btw, i also think there needs to be somekind of safeguard against people signing in under different names to vote for themselves.

I also think it would be pretty bad ass if George started his own Bodyfor life type contest but with No rules.

You can use what ever tha fuck you want.

It'll be just like BFL, 12 weeks. And there will be prizes at the end.

What do you say George?

How about a no holds barred Body for life comp, E.F. style.

It's a good idea and would be fun. But the amount of faking that can be done over the computer is ridiculous with people posting pics that aren't them and programs that can alter pictures and make you look twice as big. It'd be interesting but nevertheless worth a try.
 
I say the only way to make it work is to do a body for life type of challenge.

That way we can see before and after pics so it will be harder to cheat.

The advantages is that we can start the contest right now and wait 12-16 weeks and see the results.

A real contest would be to expensive for everyone to travel.

why dont you just have one big page with everyones pic every month and have a winner every month. and a winner for most improved. cause im tired of hearing advice form people who probibly look worse than me.. and like someone said shit talkers that look worse too. id love to see who the real swole people look like!!!
 
I'm in. If I don't win (which I definately WOULD NOT), then I'll just say that Retabolil 2 stole my photo's, so to judge his physique but vote on my name. Then I'd stand a REALLY GOOD CHANCE.

I'd be ready to rock in Feb.
